Arnold Schwarzenegger Thinks There's Still a Chance With Wife Maria Shriver

Arnold Schwarzenegger is drifting down a mighty long river. It's called denial. He reportedly thinks he stands a chance at reconciling with wife Maria Shriver.

According to a report from PopEater, even some of Arnold's friends think he stands a chance at getting her back.

"He knows he has made terrible mistakes in his past but isn't prepared to lose the greatest woman in his life," one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's friends told PopEater.

That same friend continued, saying, "They talk all the time and no matter how stupid he has been you don't just throw away a marriage."

Hmmm. Really? It seems that fathering a love child with a member of their family's household staff--Mildred Baena--is a major mistake. That's not just a "whoops, I may have ogled the girl in the bikini at the beach." Nope. That's adultery. That's starting and supporting a family outside of the nucleus of his own. That's keeping a very serious secret for a lot of years. Would you find it in your heart to forgive Arnold Schwarzenegger of such transgressions?

Not many people would, and it would be positively astounding if Maria Shriver were to even consider such a thing. Even if she does wind up forgiving him (after all, sometimes forgiveness is a balm to the forgiver), that certainly doesn't mean he'd get her back.
